It use to be a flybarless Protos. Check out the servos. There is only one mounting tab left out of the cyclic servos. Geez Well like the old saying goes.

They all have an expiration date, its just up to us to find it. Well I found it. LOL

Hey Curtis, I think we need to get Zack to put up a most impressive Crash thread.

I think I could give Matt a run for his money

Really the only thing that ticks me off is my 6s Blurr and Radix blades. Yep, you guess it, They are toast

I think anything within about 20 feet of that crash is likely toast.

Holy cow, Kenny! When you said you crashed your Protos, I didn't know it was really crashed! What I did to mine is just a minor scratch in comparison, not even worth posting a picture!

OMG Kenny. I do not know if I should laugh or cry.

I am going to save this picture so when someone asks me what a "re-kit" is, I can just show them that picture!

My condolences.

Holy Cow! you really know how to go big!

Sorry for your loss.

Let me know if you are going to rebuild - I just happen to have a whole Protos in parts/sub-assemblies ready to be assembled

Kinda Reminds me of Grandma's Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner after everyone came back for seconds.... Ya know after it had been sitting out for a few hours setting on the table....

Hey Kenny, so you don't feel all alone in here, here's a picture of my lawn rocket... well mine was more and asphalt rocket.

That was on of my first inverted hover. Not a re-kit but about 100$ worth of parts.

Cheers!

Martin

I think everyone's trex-450 has looked like that at least once...ok twice

It always could be worse, ask Curtis or Nick about A.J. Jaffe's Rave and the nice black charred blob of melted plastic it became at Heli-Invasion, it was sad seeing that.

Thumbs up

HOLY COW!! you might want to send that to whomever makes the protos and ask them to change the plastic they use to something a little more durable. With the modern polymers we have the main parts should never break up like that IMHO.

Now...what caused the crash?

That's why MSH started offering a CF frame: too many complaints about the fragility of the plastic frame. That was a big factor in my decision to buy an Atom 500 instead of a Protos.

Well, to be fair that's also why the Protos is at least 200g lighter than anything else in its class. It ain't built to crash, it's built to fly.
