Wednesday, August 12th
Well its Wednesday the official start of the 2009 IRCHA Jamboree. I can honestly say I've never seen as many people here so early. I think this year is going to be huge! I walked around earlier snapping photos and getting my bearings. Dino from Thunder Tiger showed me their new .100 engine. This fits 90 size machines and he claims its making 20% more power than regular 90's. His pilots will be demoing it throughout the event so I plan to get some good videos. My plan is to leave the field each day around 3 and get back to the hotel so I can upload photos and videos from the day, Hope you all enjoy! Wednesday Photos (gallery opens in new window)

Thursday, August 13th
Today was quite a day with the flight line full of pilots, and vendors showing off their latest products. With well over 800 registered pilots, this year is turning out to be the largest yet. I guess a down economy isn't going to keep us die hard heli guys away from enjoying a week in the Muncie sun. After getting my golf cart and outfitting it with some AllMYRC banners, I cruised the flight line catching up with old friends and snapping photos of the action. Edge Rotor Blades ![]() Suzi Cruz, from ReadyHeli, had a new line of blades she was showing off. Produced by Revco, and available through readyheli.com, these blades are the first to be offered in flybar and flybarless versions. With different weights and CG placements, they are tuned for the various helicopter setups. Currently they have 603mm available, with 693mm, 325mm and tail blades coming in less than a month. Prices for the 603's are 89.99. Align Starter ![]() Jason Krause showed me the new Align starter, which is a pretty cool new addition to their line of products. Powered by a 3s 2200 Lipo, this lightweight starter has a double one way bearing, removable shaft and voltage indicator. CY Enterprises Total G ![]() Curtis Youngblood was showing off some of his latest products today, one being the Total G. For years CY and his father have been working on a Flight Control system, and its getting close to being ready for production. The Total G features servo bus with 2.4 receivers, built in flight control and gyro all in a small package. Curtis said expect these to be available towards the end of the year. Vblades ![]() Vic returned to IRCHA this year, with blades for sell! Vblades have moved their operation back to the USA, and are currently working on new designs. He told me they expect to be back in full production by the first of the year. Synergy N5 ![]() Matt Botos was here with his Synergy Helicopters. The development of the N5 is coming along, and he told me the factories are currently producing their production run of parts. He expects the kit to be available at the end of the year...look out for this one! Thursday Photos (gallery opens in new window)

Friday, August 14th
Today was quite a day, with even more pilots showing up to take part in the fun. Registration was well over 800 pilots, and you could tell with all the people packing the flight line. The weather was great, though a little bit warmer than the last two days, but that didn't stop anyone from getting in flights. Today I spent some time getting some video of the guys flying. Those are being edited now and will be posted later this evening. Hyperformance N9 Tail Gears ![]() Jim Stark from Hyperformance RC showed me their latest tail gears for the N9 today. These gears are hard coated aluminum and direct replacements for the Synergy N9. A great "non stripping" option for those synergys, especially for those hard 3D guys. He told me they were available at Ron's Heliproz South, and retail for 39.99 Avant Aurora E 90 ![]() Avant debuted their new Aurora Electric 90, I spoke with Rocky at their booth and he gave me some of the details. It features a new frame design, double bearings on the pinion, battery compartment within the frames and included in the kits is a Scorpion 500 motor. He said they weigh less than the nitro version and its scheduled to be released in December. Blurr Packs from Powerhelis ![]() Powerheli's was selling their new battery line this year. Blurr packs come in three popular sizes 3s 2200 25C ($41), 4s 2200 25C ($49) and 6s 2600 25C ($95). They plan to have more sizes in the future, so check them out at www.powerhelis.com. Saturday, August 15th
Well today was a huge day, with well over 900 pilots registered. Flight stations up and down the flightline were pack with pilots enjoying the sunny weather. Noon time demos started around 12, and lasted till almost 2 with many big name pilots showing off their supporting manufacturers. In one word the flying was "hot"! I've never seen an IRCHA this big, and its nice to see all of us heli guys not letting a down economy ruin our summer fun. I took a bunch more videos today, and will work on getting those edited down over the next few days. Today is my last day here, so I'm starting to pack up and get things ready for a 6am flight out of Indianapolis. Yay 6am hahaha, I could have sworn it said 6pm when I booked the flight. I think allmyrc has gotten some good exposure from this event, and I look forward to covering more events in the near future. Enjoy guys!
