Thursday, June 10th

Today kicked off the start of the 2010 Futaba Xtreme Flight Championships, better known as the XFC. Which draws pilots from all over the world to compete in both Helicopter and Airplane contest and 3d flying. This year the organizers added a different twist with the Aero Works Challenge, which is a high speed pylon type race for 50/60cc and 100cc aircraft.

Pilots have been showing up throughout the week, and today was reserved for the last chance qualifying rounds and the Aero Works qualifying rounds. The "last chance qualifiers" gives pilots that were not invited to compete a chance to show their stuff and possible gain a last chance spot in the competition. This year 3 airplane pilots, and 5 helicopter pilots made the cut and were added to the roster for tomorrows start of the competition.

Afterwards was open practice for the Aero Works challenge, followed by qualifying rounds. Since this is a new addition to the contest line up, pilots had to prove their skill ability before they were able to compete. There are two classes for the Challenge, 50-62cc and 100-120cc aircraft. Hey guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know there is still about 5 hours of tape I havent even touched yet from the event. I stayed up til 3 or later every night trying to get videos edited and posted, but sadly there just wasnt enough time to get everything done. I just arrived at my grandparents in arkansas for the night, and will be making the final leg of the drive home to texas early in the morning. Once I get to my house its back on the editing mode and I'll get through the rest of the videos. MUCH MUCH MORE to come!!
