The first run ATG works very well. The main things the new version have is better menus for use with the G-view and better combatibility with Futaba transmitter settings (in other words in Futaba mode the number in the transmitter will match the RPM in the ATG)
Those are the main differences in function. The electronic components are very different in the unit though. We changed over several of the electronic components to make it easier to produce and cost less. This means the ATG is not "upgradable" to the ATG V3. Note, the Total G will have upgradable software through your computer.

Hard to answer as that is a pretty long list.
It has the flight control, gyro, and ATG. The gyro and ATG are almost exactly like the ATG V3 and the Mini G programming. So if you have those you will understand the Total G right away. Of course the flight control part is completely new so there will be a little bit of a learning curve with that. But all parts of the program will be upgradable. The other good part is you can upgrade the gyro/governor seperately from the flight control.
