Hi Nick,

Which ESC do you like best on your Rave?

Is the CC 50 Ice Lite good enough for the Rave or do you think we need the cooling fins on the CC 50 Ice for our Raves?

Hey Don,

The Ice 50 Lite is working great...doesn't even get warm without the added heat sink

While either ESC would work just fine, the Lite stands out as the better choice. It saves a respectable amount of weight also.

Are you using the BEC on the Ice 50 lite?

Don,
Yup, the BEC is great on the ICE. Using 6.0v with no step down to a 3500g.

While it flys ok anywhere from 5.3v-6.0v, tail gains (and if applicable flight control gains) were able to be raised by 5-6 units by using 6v in comparison to 5.3v.

So far (since IRCHA 2009), have been using that set-up and have yet to damage a tail servo, except in crashes
