The AMA/FAI Nats and Team Trials are coming up fast (starting the Monday before IRCHA). Since we did blogs for the 3DM, thought it might be neat to do a blog about the preparation and days of another "style" of helicopter competition. I am fairly new to serious F3C flying so I have been really overwhelmed with trying to learn (and remembering to apply) information coming in from various other helpful competitors and friends.

Sorry for not keeping very up to date on blogs. We arrived home yesterday evening from the trip. The flights home all went well, and luckily no odd cancellations, or any luggage troubles on these flights!

I believe the last blog was after the first day of set maneuvers, so I'll try to pick up from there. Saturday we had the masters Freestyle, and Experts Music/Freestyle. The weather was great, and the helicopters were all running very well! LOTS of good flights were...

First update here from Venlo. So far the trip has been exciting.

Due to the crashes and issues, I actually only was able to bring one flying model, and just lots of any kind of spare part. Luckily that model at home was (is) performing really well, and its the one I've been flying for all the practice for the contest.

So to say the least I was pretty careful packing, etc, to make sure nothing would change specifically dampening and gear wise. Must...

I wish I would have been able to do updates much sooner but have been fairly busy with getting models trimmed and ready. Unfortunately I have had some interesting luck getting ready for this contest. In total, I think the count is now 5 crashes and about 6 sets of landing gear
